# Buying More Credits

> Top up your OCCode credit balance — simple, instant, no subscriptions.

## How to buy credits

## What happens when credits run out?

Your agent **pauses** — it can't process new requests until you top up. But:

* Nothing is lost or deleted
* Your configuration stays intact
* Your connected channels stay connected
* Just add credits and your agent resumes instantly

## Alternative: Bring Your Own Key

Don't want to use credits? You can [add your own API keys](/byok) and pay your AI provider directly. Your credit balance is only used for the built-in Legacy Model.
